Since 1999 Mark has been helping fund, grow and exit software and e-commerce businesses. He has over 14 years experience as a CFO for market leaders such as FreshBooks, Shopify and many others.
He also spent 3 years as a General Partner at Real Ventures where he led investments in a number of SMB SaaS and e-commerce companies including Unbounce and Frank & Oak.
He has raised hundreds of millions in capital from investors in Canada, the US and Asia and has sold companies to Airbnb, Blackberry, Gannett, Rackable Systems, Return Path, Thrivehive and others.

Josh Scherman, Vice President
Josh began his career on Wall Street as an investment banker on the debt capital markets team at CIBC World Markets. He spent 5 years there before moving into the tech World.
Since 2010, Josh has held senior business development roles In New York and San Francisco for early stage startups such as Postling and indinero as well as established market leaders like Constant Contact. Along the way, he developed a passion for companies that serve the SMB market. Josh is a former Director of the Small Business Web Association and has helped small and large companies succeed in the SMB space.
Shubham Datta, Director
Having worked on a startup and seeing some of the operational and financial challenges that early stage companies face, Shubham co-founded North Pine Ventures, an advisory firm for university founders.
Since graduating from the University of Waterloo, he obtained his CPA designation with KPMG. Prior to joining SurePath, Shubham was an Investment Banking Associate at KPMG Corporate Finance where he advised Canadian mid-market FinTech and SaaS companies on divestitures, recapitalizations and exits.
Danial Shaikh, Senior Analyst
Danial is a CPA and previously supported the corporate development team at TELUS, where he executed buy side M&A transactions in telco, healthcare, & IT verticals.
He also has experience supporting the FP&A functions at TELUS, TD Securities, and Kraft Foods.
